Online & face-to-face piano and music theory lessons
I am qualified in 8 levels + theory through ABRSM/Royal Schools of Music.
Now I prepare several students for ABRSM exams. I worked as a language arts and music teacher in the US, Turkiye and Qatar. Now I am based in Orebro, Sweden and work at a local music school as a piano teacher and also have several students from different countries via Zoom.
I teach with classical methodology and focus on technical foundation, posture, expressiveness, and musical comprehension.
I teach all levels and can work with different goals: school performances, recitals, examinations, or simply personal growth and repertoire building.
In lessons there are 3 responsible parties, the teacher teaches music and practice techniques, and assigns practice tasks, the student pays attention and asks appropriate questions to make sure they know how and what to practice.
Why is supporting your children or yourself in learning to play an instrument is important? Because making music and playing an instrument supports mental development, enhances mathematical and creative thinking skills, encourages emotional expression, reduces stress, and strengthens emotional well-being, and most importantly, allows for a means to process emotions in a healthy way. In the magical world of music, your or your child’s creativity and self-confidence will grow, while allowing you to a step back from screens and the internet to explore the real world and realistic perspectives.
I have spent a decade studying their curriculum, performing live to their juries, getting real-life feedback from the examiners, passing their qualifications and eventually preparing my own students for their ABRSM exams with my expert understanding of their grading system and the intricacies of piano performance.
